The curriculum involves familiarizing students with many diverse kinds of tea grown and processed in different regions of the country, including different species of tea and the quality. Students are trained to be able to identify many intricacies of the product, such as flavour, tint- detection, colour and brightness- detection, strength of infused tea, and to be able to efficiently differentiate between its different clones. The different aspects involved in tea production, quality, marketing, and even tasting are studied on an advanced level in this specialty program.
