Programme Overview:

M.Tech. in Water Resources Development and Management is a two-year full- time course divided into four semesters, with each semester lasting a period of 6 months. Water Resources Development and Management is a specialty of civil engineering that focuses on water supplies, irrigation and waste disposal. It also addresses methods for controlling water to avoid water-related damage and catastrophes.
Major course work addresses topics in fluid mechanics, water quality, resource development, surface & subsurface hydrology and aquatic transport. Graduate-level students can sometimes choose to focus on subsurface water, surface water or watershed modelling.
