The course is designed to acquaint students with the major trends and writers in English Literature through detailed study of specific literary works in the literary canon. The course MA English incorporates papers on Cultural and Literary History, Language and Linguistics, English Essays, English Drama, English Poetry, Indian English Literature, Literary Criticism, Film and Adaptation, Life Writings, Shakespeare Cultural Studies, Study Skills in English and other major areas in the evolving domain of Literature and Language. The course aims to adopt an inter-disciplinary and exchange as part of the syllabus.
After Masters in English common choices are in Teaching & Research, but It also opens the door for career in sectors such as Tourism, Embassies, Diplomatic service, Entertainment, Public relations and Mass Communication, International organizations, Publishing House, Interpretation, NGO and Translation etc.
